The Moonshot bursary campaign helping 1st year tertiary education Law students

Last month we initiated a campaign called The Moonshot bursary, aimed at helping 1st year tertiary education Law students, with their stationery and book fees for the 2026 academic year.
The initiative began when our CEO and founder, Feziwe Renqe, called into Radio 702 inquiring if the station could help her get in touch with a few students that would be interested in receiving this donation.

This call quickly snowballed into an overwhelming response of countless calls, emails and messages from students, parents, friends and family members from all across the country, commending this initiative and raising their hands to receive this donation.

Suddenly it was all hands on deck!

We engaged with every single applicant and quickly realized that there were more students that really needed this donation. We then decided to open the initiative not only to 1st year students, but rather any undergraduate law student within reasonable need for this donation, ultimately this initiative is to help students alleviate the financial pressure of the cost of education and remove barriers to education.

Today, we are proud to announce that we have selected 11 students who have successfully received R3 000 vouchers towards their tertiary education costs of stationery and study material!
